Terms & Conditions of Sale
Application
These Terms govern the sale by JJ DEVEREUX Ltd to you of Products for which you place an order that is accepted by us. Note that our catalogues and websites are intended for business users only, and we reserve the right to refuse service and cancel orders to non-business customers. Your acceptance of the Products shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of these Terms.
Orders
You can order JJ DEVEREUX LTD merchandise anytime at jjdevereux.net or by phone. Our lines are open Monday from 9.00am to 5.30pm and Tuesday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Although we aim to process all orders same day, if you order after 5.00pm or at the weekend please assume that delivery will be as if your order had been placed the next working day.
By placing an order you warrant that you are a business user. All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by JJ DEVEREUX LTD. We reserve the right to revise prices, limit quantities, correct errors in its catalogue and refuse orders at its discretion including, without limitation, orders from distributors, dealers and warehouse stores, or orders in a size that are unlikely to be for business purposes.
If an error is discovered in the price of the goods that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that you order an item and the price published on the Site is incorrect for any reason, we will contact you upon discovery of the error to let you know the correct price and ask you whether you still wish us to fulfil your order at this price. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product which was advertised at an incorrect price. Should we have fulfilled the order before discovering the error, we reserve the right to take back the goods and refund you the purchase price or charge you the correct amount.
Except as may otherwise be permitted by applicable law, you may not cancel an order which JJ DEVEREUX LTD has accepted without the agreement in writing of JJ DEVEREUX LTD, which requirement may be waived by JJ DEVEREUX LTD from time to time in its sole discretion. Prices are exclusive of VAT at 23% (subject to government alterations). Ownership and title remains with JJ DEVEREUX LTD until full payment for products has been received.
Product Descriptions
We strive to ensure that our products are described as accurately as possible on our website, however we do not warrant that the description is accurate. Where we become aware of any misdescription, we reserve the right to correct any error or omission.
Images have been provided for illustrative purposes only and we do not guarantee that any image will reproduce in true colour nor that any given image will reflect or portray the full design or options relating to that product.
Delivery
The team at JJ Devereux are committed to continuing to bring you the highest quality products at the best possible prices, and offering excellent service to all our customers. We have traditionally delivered to most customers promptly and usually at no cost, regardless of where they are in Ireland.
Due to rising costs in our own business and a commitment to environmental protection, we must now implement a reasonable delivery charge in the business on some of our smaller orders. Although shipping costs are standard on all orders in our industry, we have avoided passing this charge on to our customers for as long as possible. The shipping charge will be applied on all orders under €75.00 excluding VAT received from July 1st, 2021. The cost of delivery is €7.50 excluding VAT, regardless of the size of the item, with the exception of some oversized/furniture items which may incur additional costs which will be disclosed at the time of sale.
All orders over €75.00 will continue to be shipped free of charge. Orders placed Monday to Thursday will be delivered on your next delivery day as per our delivery routes. Orders received on Friday will be delivered on your next delivery day as per our delivery routes. Customers will be advised at time of order if this is the case. JJ DEVEREUX LTD cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss due to late or non-delivery. Please note these routes are subject to change.
Oversized or bulky items may require additional delivery time and some products are delivered to customers directly by the manufacturer and some manufacturers are unable to deliver outside of Ireland. JJ DEVEREUX LTD shall endeavour to inform you of extended delivery times at the time you place your order. In any case, JJ DEVEREUX LTD shall not be liable for any cost or damage caused by late or non-delivery of the Products. Any delay in delivery of the Products shall not give you a right to reject the Products or cancel your order. JJ DEVEREUX LTD reserves the right to deliver the Products in instalments.
Delivery times are between 8.30am and 5.00pm. The delivery driver needs to obtain a signature for all parcels. If you are unavailable to accept delivery, your order may be left with a neighbour if they are willing to sign for it.
Timescales for furniture deliveries are usually between 3 and 5 working days, although certain ranges may take up to 3 weeks. Additional carriage costs may apply to some areas. Import Duty
If you order Products from our site for delivery outside Ireland, they may be subject to import duties and taxes. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. We have no control over these charges. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
Payment
Unless you are a JJ DEVEREUX Credit Account Holder, you must pay for the Products at the time you place your order. Credit accounts are not available for first-time orders. JJ DEVEREUX LTD reserves the right, by giving you notice at the time you place your order, to increase the price of the Products to reflect any increase in cost beyond its control.
Returns
You may return items within a 14-day period of the date the order was placed for a full credit. Unwanted goods must be unused, complete, in as-new condition, and in original packaging. Once the goods are received and checked, you will receive credit either as a note or back to your original payment method. Unsuitable items may be refused.
